Adam Owensby

About
Adam Owensby, a Greenville native, has built a career rooted in South Carolina with a commitment to providing comprehensive legal services. His early expertise in technology began while working in management information systems at the state’s largest computer manufacturer during high school. He later earned a degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where he developed proficiency in German, Arabic, and Hebrew. After graduation, Adam gained business experience in Philadelphia’s advertising and marketing sector, managing domain names and toll-free phone numbers before returning home to attend the Charleston School of Law and establish his legal career.
Throughout law school, Adam demonstrated leadership and dedication to public service. He earned multiple merit awards for community and pro bono service, led a symposium on foreclosure resolution in partnership with the Center for Dispute Resolution, served as Associate Editor-in-Chief of a dispute resolution journal, and volunteered as a Guardian ad Litem. His legal experience includes working with esteemed family law attorneys, serving in the Solicitor’s Office for the Ninth Judicial Circuit, and providing technological support to legal professionals and firms.
Following law school, Adam co-founded a law firm alongside a fellow Charleston School of Law graduate, representing clients across family, criminal, and civil matters—including divorce, custody disputes, criminal defense, adoptions, landlord-tenant conflicts, and personal injury cases. He is a certified South Carolina Circuit Court Mediator and previously served as co-chair of the Charleston Mediation and Meeting Center. In 2025, Adam joined Seibert Law & Mediation, where he continues to focus on family, criminal, and landlord-tenant law, offering his clients informed legal counsel with a strong understanding of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Outside of his legal practice, Adam remains an engaged member of the Charleston community. He is a recipient of the Shomer HaMasoret (Guardian of Our Heritage) Award, actively volunteers with environmental and animal welfare organizations, and attends Brith Sholom Beth Israel (BSBI) and Dor Tikvah synagogues with his two daughters, Aida and Isadora.
